For foodies who love healthy, seasonal foods, take a snack break at Daylesford to taste the produce from this organic farm just two hours outside of London. The fine epicerie, family cafe, and deco showroom all in the restaurant, Daylesford wins over aesthetes and gourmets of all ages.
The Décor
In the affluent neighborhood of Belgravia, Daylesford opened its first farmshop-café ten years ago with the desire to offer the produce of the farm in Gloucestershire to the locals. Bakery, greengrocer, dairy shop, delicatessen, and butcher are all brought together on the first floor. The next floor is spacious and welcoming with the restaurant and decor shop that has a fine selection of products for the kitchen and bathroom.
The Food
All of the recipes start from the farm-fresh produce which is delivered every morning: meat, poultry, eggs, cheese, milk, fruits, and vegetables, cultivated using the most demanding techniques with respect to the environment and to organic agriculture. Above all, here organic meets love of good food and its that what delights the local families, who come for weekend brunch or for Tea Time during the week. Hungry visiters choose the Daylesford beef burger topped with their traditional, nine month aged cheddar, the pride of the house which earned the farm of Daylesford prestigious awards. Lighter but equally delicious, the broccoli salad, black quinoa, and goji berries is a treat. The menu also offers a large selection of gluten-free recipes.
For Kids
The upstairs section allows families to relax safely with strollers and kids. Daylesford has an elevator, a changing table, high-chairs, and small, savory dishes – grilled chicken, quiche, Welsh cheese on toast, or risotto – and puddings to share at brunch or for a snack.
We Love …
… the refined selection at the decor boutique: sleek dishware for kitchens and organic cotton and wool plaids to warm the bedroom or living room.
