Give yourself a break. All weekend, Les Niçois in the 11th arrondissement of Paris serves authentic and delicious brunch to parents while the children are looked after by professionals. Sundays at Les Niçois are the best day of the week…
The Décor
Luke, who hails from Nice, always loved Saint Ambroise and now he has a restaurant in this bustling area, where regulars frequent cafes, bars, and bistros — all of which are cool and authentic. Spacious and bright, welcoming with school chairs, stone walls, a piano and a wicker lounge chair under a skylight, Les Niçois gives us exactly what we want for a break with family or friends. Here you are welcomed with a “How are you?” instead of a terse “How many are you?”
The Food
Saturday and Sunday brunch changes every week depending on the market. It consists of fresh fruit juice (apple, pineapple, ginger lemon), coffee or tea, bread and butter, dulce de leche and homemade Mediterranean-inspired jams (fig -thym lemon or peppermint strawberry-mint), and the choice of a vegetarian dish, a meat, or fish. End on a sweet note with three or four creations of the chef.
For Kids
Every weekend between 12h and 16h, the bocce area attracts hipsters but during the weekend it turns into a playground. Nursery school facilitators occupy toddlers of three years or older with board games, mini-football or gymnastics workshops; there is no down time in between bites of their brunch: apple juice, pasta or risotto, small meatballs, and dessert.
We Love…
… the staff’s good attitude.
… the quality of the products like the refined tea selection from the store “L’autre Thé”.
